The Adams Rite 4089-20-121 Exit Indicator provides clear notification of lock status, driven by the lock bolt itself. It displays the word "LOCKED" in red letters when thrown, or 
"OPEN" in green letters when retracted. Both are presented on a white background for maximum clarity and readability. It can be used on aluminum, wood, or hollow metal doorways, and includes two permanent adhesive header signs. One is in accordance with Uniform Building Code and reads, "THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED DURING BUSINESS HOURS." The other is in accordance with NFPA and other local codes; it reads, "THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED WHEN THE BUILDING IS OCCUPIED."

Adams Rite 4089-20-121 Exit Indicator

Provides unmistakable notification of lock status. Under many local building safety codes this allows the use of a security deadlock instead of exit devices, in certain occupancies. It includes two permanent adhesive header signs: “THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED DURING BUSINESS HOURS.” (that wording is according to Uniform Building Code). The second sign for NFPA and other local codes reads: “THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED WHEN THE BUILDING IS OCCUPIED.”.
