Sargent & Greenleaf 951-009 High Security Padlock Built to Meet US Military Spec MIL-DTL-43607J
The 951 padlock is the newest heavy duty padlock from Sargent and Greenleaf. It features a more refined casting and heavier anti drill reinforcements to make it a stronger successor to the popular S&G 833C padlock. The S&G 951C is made up of proprietary alloys in the padlock body and shackle that give it extreme resistance to physical attacks. The body also has ceramic inserts which greatly reduce the ability to attack the padlock with a grinder. Its raised shoulders make attacking the shackle very hard when properly installed. It features a quick change breakdown function using the change key. It is the only lock(other than the 833C padlock) that is meant to resist physical attack from even prolonged liquid nitrogen attacks. When the change key is inserted and turned, the body comes apart in two pieces allowing for access to the cylinder for replacement as needed. Model 951 includes a restricted keyway locking cylinder available only to authorized government agencies, but Model 951C has a non-restricted cylinder to deliver the same advanced features for commercial applications
